Atlas brands the ship's inspiration as la dolce vita, but I certainly felt a sense of New England in there, too. Overall, the atmosphere was more casual than I anticipated, though the service and amenities put the ship in the luxury category.

The entertainment and activities on World Navigator will vary a bit depending on the part of the world in which it is sailing. On trips to Antarctica, for instance, daytime activities will revolve heavily around landings by Zodiac boats to see wildlife such as penguins. On trips in the Mediterranean, the vessel will have much more of a yacht-like feel on board with passengers mixing time on the pool deck with both adventurous and traditional excursions in ports. All of the ships will be sisters to each other with very similar layouts and features, making up what Atlas is calling its Explorer Class.

You'll also find the sundeck, heated pool, and hot tubs located near the bar and grill midship on Deck 7.
